Jonathan Strum will present his perspective on the aftermath of the recent Israeli election. He will discuss political trends and potential scenarios based on his extensive knowledge of Israeli politics.
Jonathan Strum has a wide array of experience on both education issues and the transactional and legal side of investment, finance and technology and has worked in the Middle East.
In addition to his role as General Counsel at Daniel Morgan Graduate School since 2015, Mr. Strum has served as a member of the Board of Trustees at the University of the West in Rosemead, CA since October 2011. He has also served as Chair of the Legal Committee, the Student and Academic Affairs Committee and recently chaired the UWest Presidential Search Committee.
Mr. Strum has negotiated and structured investment and financing from international institutions, banks and venture capital firms on behalf of start-up technology companies, established companies, foreign governments and business entities. He has coordinated multilateral project finance while advising on the establishment of and financing for overseas projects in the US, Middle East, and Southeast Asia.
Since 2010, as Managing Director of Scheman Strum, his focus has been on Asia related transactions and he has also sought mutual opportunities for GCC and Israeli companies in China, Taiwan and Malaysia.
From 2005-2010 Strum was General Counsel of Siraj Capital, Ltd., a merchant investment firm based in Dubai and Saudi Arabia and was Of Counsel to Patton Boggs LP, an international law firm based in Washington, DC.
Mr. Strum has been a commentator and analyst on all major international news channels and is a frequent speaker at international conferences. In 2014, he was a judge for the $1 Million Genesis Generation Challenge sponsored by the Genesis Prize and Michael Bloomberg.
