Yuval Weber, PhD, is delighted to announce the release of the first episode of Back Channel Cast, a podcast examining Russia’s politics, economics, culture, and rich cultural life. Weber and his fellow Russian experts will provide commentary on the complex and evolving relationship between Trump and Russia as they seek to demystify Russia and Vladimir Putin.

Weber explains, “The name of the podcast comes from Jared Kushner’s attempts to establish a back channel with the Russian leadership beyond the prying eyes and ears of American intelligence services.” In the first episode of Back Channel Cast , Weber and his fellow Russia experts analyze several Russia-related topics including how U.S. and Russian sanctions hurt the Russian people, the ramifications of the U.S. decision to reduce Visa provisions to a six-month waiting period, and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov’s response to the U.S. seizure of three Russian diplomatic facilities.
